Been sitting for 2 flipping days now....I started my day and ran over to the plant and showed up 30 minutes before DDT....and the load isn't ready...I check back 2 hours later...get told not ready and NOT EVEN STARTED!!! all I said is you have got to be ####### kidding me......i have started my day and now i am going to lose hours to a 14 hour clock...on top of not making a ####### dime sitting around with my thumb up my ###.......

 

And to top off that load the final stop was our friends in Mechanicsville which was a joy and a half. About the only saving grace of that joint is the older black lady in receiving. It warmed my heart to be called Sugar, Honey & baby in the span of 3 minutes, God bless that woman! I about fell over though when I got back up to Ashland about 0300 there were actually open parking spots.

are you talking about the one at the 89 or the 92?? The one at the 89 always have wide open spots....ALWAYS!!!!

 

92. Normally I troll the back 40 at that time of night but luck would have it there were three spots in a row open by the building. Made my sunrise stumble to get my coffee that much easier!

 

I actually had a receiver thank me this morning for bringing in their product undamaged, and they've already had to shovel out the nose of three mega carriers trailers this morning from the combos sliding forward and breaking open. Guess we're doing something right when they are glad to see our trucks knowing their stuff is intact.

 

Well so much for my 34 hour reset....I have to grab a wgtn to morris load tonight....uggg an all night drive...not cool considering I didn't roll out the hay til 9 this morning.....I guess on the plus side that means my week will be short as hell with the recaps I have to run on...I am thinking I will be home thursday or friday....

 

I hear ya Mic, from the sounds of it yesterday was mass chaos in the office trying to get everything covered. I ended up doing an 8 in Brooklyn then another driver brought me a Chicago load for this morning. When I started figuring everything I was going WTF guys! I've been saddled with some tight stuff but this one was a doozy. I rolled into the RCVR with 1 minute left on my 14 & after my 2 I'll have just enough time to get reloaded and put this dump in my rear view mirror. Luckily after tonight I'll pick up decent hours so I can be productive but I have the sinking feeling I'll be stuck on nights until I go home at the end of next week.

 

well got back home last night...after wasting a whole day running loads around Iowa....but I already have Mike blowing up my phone....plus one of the loads I relayed to someone I guess shifted and I had to talk to denise about it too cause I guess the reciever was going to reject it....I told her the roads were kinda rough running up 71.....not to mention that maybe Tyson should put some securement in the trailer BEFORE they seal it so the combos don't all slide around...just sayin...

FYI I have decided not to answer my phone if VW calls me for the next couple days...they ran the piss out of me and took advantage of me doing a "favor" for them...so I am going to enjoy the next 5 days off....
