Is it easy to "live out of your truck"? Been wondering about that. I don't have my own place at the moment, and it doesn't seem like I'll have a good reason to get one anytime soon, as I plan to stay out for a long time (at first at least).

Can't think of anything that'd be too complicated about it, but it seems like it should be, lol. Wonder if TMC just lets drivers stay at their hotel in Des Moines on their offtime, lol.

Not saying that I agree with your opinion but that was funny. I am stealing that line.

Not that hard. You need a po box or get your mail sent to your parents house or something. I have been out for 5 Weeks at this point. While I am ready to go home I could conceivably stay out for years.

I lived in a truck for years ( 20 years ). You can save plenty if you stay out of casinos etc. I saved and I am in very good financial shape. There were some years I saved $ 25k-$30k some years. Of course it can be harder to run miles these days with the newer hos rules and shorter length of haul.
I started driving in 1992 at $.21/mile. 3 years later I had about $ 53k in the bank.
