Any medication you have will need to be reported yet wont stop you from passing a physical. Most of the physicals I have dealt with you do from a sitting position. Sounds complicated huh? It really depends on whom you drive for. Contact the recruiter and ask for their medical number and ask them (the people at the medical section) what it takes to pass their physical.
Otherwise if you are taking medication you will need your doctor to certify whether the meds will impair your ability to operate a commercial vehicle (GET IT IN WRITING). Also the company that you plan to work for will want the phone # of whom they can contact to verify your medical history. -

Check out that link from a few years back. Most driver applications I have seen specifically ask if you have back problems. Like Giggles said, you may want to think real hard about driving for a living. You will probably find it near impossible to get a company to hire you if you have to take Percocet. Just like these idiots that go to truck driving school thinking that a medical marijuana card is going to make it ok for them to smoke weed. -
