Well now. Here I sit at the Flying J, just north of Daytona Beach Fl. The dispatched me a great load. The problem is, they gave me 4 days to deliver it. I tried to bump up my appointment. Not gonna happen. So, another low mileage week. I'll start off with good miles, but let's see what I get next. This last paycheck almost made me sick. I had a come to Jesus phone call with my FM pertaining to my poor miles. This is the 3rd conversation I've had with her about this. Some things gotta give. I've not had 2,000 miles per week since I've been here, much less the 2,300 that was "assured" me that I would EASILY get. Uh huh. I don't know guys. I've got bills to pay. Same as everybody else.
Kutina Thanks this. -

Well my situation is due to ALOT of short hauls in my dedicated division that happen normally at the end of a quarter. Our Customer pushes out ALOT of freight at the last minute and they are almost always really short hauls, like 1 mile, 9 miles, and 30-150 miles. I did 8 of those this week alone.

Well, I'm very proud to be a "Tar Heel." North Carolina is my home. I am aware of the dedicated account, however for me I really want to be specialized. That's just me. My big dream is to pull up to the Caterpillar plant and chain down a new dozer. That's just my dream goal. As for the low miles, I really don't know. I asked my FM point blank if there was something I was doing wrong. She assured me no. She said," your just at the wrong place at the wrong time."
Well, how can that be? I'm right where you tell me to be, when you tell me to be there. So, I dunno. I still think they save the good loads for the trainer. Just my opinion.Kutina Thanks this. -
does maverick haul any caterpillar stuff like dozers, combines, tractors, etc?

We have a "heavy haul" division. Its my understanding that its a pretty hard group to join. Dig around on this site, and you'll find more info on what your looking for.
