I'm currently looking for a new position and I'm wondering what companies out there drive kenworth trucks. I'm also looking for companies that will train too. I currently only have about 4500 miles under my belt. Which would probably be equivalent to 3 months. < hahaha... I might be able to pull that off. Anyway their is my situation.

    Thanks,
    -C

i wouldn't be too picky on what kind of tractor you get to drive if a job offer comes along with only 3 mos experience

Dont worry about the type of truck, I would only worry about finding a company that will treat you right and give you good miles.

You should be looking for what jobs helps you the best and not what kind of truck they have. You want a truck that will make you money. Don't limit yourself by truck or transmission. Get all the experience you can so you can make a good living.

I did get 4500 miles in about 8 days, might have been 9. I also drove for 3 weeks during training in Idaho. I'm just saying on paper I can probably make it look like 3 months. That's what I was getting at.

I liked driving the Kenworth t 660. It was a beautiful truck ...

When I drove for swift I averaged 680 miles a day. As you can tell by my numbers there were a few over speeds. Only because a trainers truck can do 68 on cruise control. Although swift wants all students to do 65 mph... Which never happens. Some speed limits are 75 and 80 mph. I don't see why they govern there trucks down so much I heard Prime is the worst. at like 60 mph or something.

Trans Am has the 660, but since you have experience you would have to do the lease.

I'm with the others, find a job first. Their's quiet a few that have KW's, if it's that important, look at company webpages. Shoot two birds with one stone, info on weather they will take you and what they drive.
