But you can have wasp & hornet spray.
Shoots 20 to 25 feet.
Will mess a persons day up when hit in face. -
Charging grizzly umm ok what do you pick up garbage in yellowstone. If your talking personal defense I think bear spray is a little overboard I mean if ya want to paint the dude in mace well ok

The thing is, that is your choice on how you care to handle your business. Secondly, depending on where you are, witnesses can be very reluctant to intervene. What if you have a delivery going into Compton, or comparable city? We can argue this point all day. It comes down to, this, "each to his own".cetanediesel Thanks this.

These statistics were just disproven last week by the presidents commision on gun violence.... and if I ever have to pull my firearm I won't be the one getting shot.... as soon as I pull it I am firing.... Conceal and carry 101... Never pull a gun you don't intend to use..... a gun is the last resort if I feel my life is in danger I will employ its services.. and the only reason you can marginally say you are more likely to get shot if you have a gun is intentional self inflicted gun shot wounds....

Honestly more useful than bear spray is simply knowing how to stay safe. So long as you use common sense rules you should never have need of bear spray or gun.
-Never walk between trailers at night
-Always try to park in high traffic areas (i.e. Close to the building, near fuel island,) or in well lit areas, Avoid parking in the very back.
-Dont be a stupid co-ed in a horror movie, if something goes bump in the night it'll keep till morning pre-trip or will go away or go crunch if you move the truck a bit. Signs of activity in the truck will more than likely scare away anyone up to no good.
-Always lock your doors.
-Use extra security if you feel threatened or worried, If you have a freightliner, you can take your seat belts and put them through a grip on the door and then fasten seat belt, this makes it very difficult at least to get in. I've heard of other products that are like load straps you put them into the window edge's and tighten them up to prevent the doors from being opened.WoofWagon Thanks this. -
That's what I'm wondering a few months ago but I understand from Canadian customs that if it is for protection from bears and other animals, you can cross the border with it. The stuff in the link is approved by the Canadian government for use on animals.

Why are truck stops so "unsafe" and not to walk between trailers at night? You would think the owners would get serious about loiters and bums etc and regulate who is on the property at all times. Just curious.

I carry a Gatorade bottle full of Aqua Amonia. #### with me and I'll splash you with it and trust me when I say one wiff of it and it'll literally suck the air right out of your lungs. It'll also burn your skin too.

Its not necessarily loiterers or bums that make it unsafe. It can be and more often is other scum bag drivers. As a woman you don't walk between trailers at night for fear of being dragged underneath and raped. As a man you don't do it for fear of being bashed in the head and having your wallet stolen. I've heard a few tails of lady driver dressed entirely inappropriately and in one case as I said pulled under trailer and gang raped by five guys. In another case a lot lizard was dragged into the bushes behind the trucks and killed (that truck stop gqve me the wiggies before I even knew that)WoofWagon Thanks this.
