Nice. Can't wait to see the numbers from your settlement. Very curious to know the breakdown for your fixed costs. Do they have a variable mileage charge?

$0.045 per mile but if you complete the lease they give that back to you as a bonus. Now remember this week I had all kinds of things put on or in the truck and this will be the only trip for the week. I may still come up negative. We are looking at this long term and the start up cost were more than I thought they would be. On the bright side I have everything I need except a CB because I keep that money for the road.

So the variable mileage if basically a saving account. Much better than the .12 cpm that went to who know what in my last lease. I might be out there with you guys towards the end of the year. Long term is the only way to look at it.

Yes a savings account if you finish and repair fund for them if you don't, lol. Yeah they lay it all out on the table here. Check it out.

Thanks for the info on your lease. Hope the maiden voyage goes well and have a safe trip.

You said that you took a lightweight truck and I was wondering if it is the small sleeper style? How much would you be able to haul with that compared to a regular condo? Is it worth the difference or is it just a preference? I know you were saying that you was having issues trying to get everything situated in truck. It is not that I am curious it is that nosey people like me need to know things. LOL

I have found during my solo weeks that if I gross:
$3000 I net around $600
$3500 I net around $950
$4000 I net around $1400
Just estimates, but my goal is always to gross $4000. this is what I set with my FM as our weekly goal. Meet our goal, I make sure to thank him in some way.100 Percent, Jrdude5, Joe Leaphorn and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm guessing that's based on a 2500 mile week? What's your mileage limit to make that 4k gross for the week and remain profitable?
-
SE and I are reefer guys... so it may be different on the tanker side. I run around 2400 miles per week on the average. What SE posted has been ballpark for me. My gross revenue is mostly in the $4000+ range most weeks. $2500 in gross revenue is generally break-even.
The key to all of this is managing your fuel bill. Keeping the fuel economy as high as possible, and doing a great job on purchasing as much cheap fuel as possible.Jrdude5 Thanks this. -
Hi guys,
The truck and tanker empty are 30420 pounds. I got some storage bins at Walmart. When I finish organizing things I will be fine on space. The mattress is nice. I'm having some apu issues. I'll talk to somebody about it in the morning.

Some pics of how you have it set up inside would be nice to see since you are in a lightweight.
