    1. Your 30 min break has to include reframing from any kind of driving a tractor trailor, correct? So u can't spend 10 minutes at Pilot, then drive a couple block to order pizza at pizza hut? It has to be a continuous 30 min? And u can't drive at all? What about spending ur 30 min to practice shifting in a parking lot?

    2. Has anyone put a scooter in their truck and take it out to ride around town when u reach places of interest?

Yes, No, Yes, Yes, No, well maybe but I for one would be chuckling in my truck at you as you drove by 12 times.

Personally, no scooter here, but I sure did have my skateboard in my truck and would roll around the truck stops on break, so why not on the new 30 minute one too.

off duty.... this term isnt new, we all know what off duty means, just now we have to have a 'documented period' within 8 hrs of coming on duty

lots of people have bikes on their trucks, tho I have thought about those motorized scooter looking things, i think they fold down, didnt think about actually getting one myself but I could see someone having it stored on their truck.

I saw one also. It was silver or gray, on a nice platform behind the sleeper.

I use to carry a Mt. Bike and I would use it all the time no just to get around town but to go down Mt. bike trails all over the country too. I got to see a lot more than most people do.

Most of the truckers that I see lately could benefit from leaving the scooter at home and walking the two blocks to Pizza Hut and back.

If they are going to Pizza Hut they probably need to walk about 20 blocks and back, and at a brisk pace.
