your DM will make or break you. I had some of the worst while there, my first two were great, and no longer work for the company. the 2nd two were just horrible
most of their equipment is great. however they do have the occasional lemon in the bunch, and then you just have to be firm with them, its not personal its business... how do they expect you to survive in a truck that doesn't get you paid. Had a friend that spent most his first 3 months, according to him anyway, in the shop. he just told them to get him back to denver and he quit (joker knows who Im talkin about! lol) luckily my truck was pretty new... now the fact that my DM's couldnt give me fuel and DEF was another story...

I've just got a trip that will take me back to CO this week. I'll have been out for over a month and would like to perhaps take the weekend off in Denver, but I'm not sure if I can afford it. If I do go through there though, my foot is going up somebody's ### and I'm getting a new DM.

Overall the equipment is new, and most of it is in good shape. I think I've mostly just had bad luck. My biggest issues are actually with sitting for 3 or 4 days waiting for a load, or trying to get paid for that time.

You know, I expected to have to pay my dues, and deal with some crap, but I simply can't afford to do this when I'm driving less than 1/2 of the miles I expected. As soon as I can bank enough cash to live while I transition to another job, I think I'm done.

Hopefully you have better luck with the next company.I have to admit there's no reason for it.If May really wanted to they could find good lds for you.Iwent thru the same exact thing with another company..I read posts on here that drivers are getting excellent miles. Why don't you start applying while you're sitting. It may be till hell freezes over before you have enough saved to quit.

I'm glad I never sat for DAYS there, a few hrs yeah, especially if you are western 11 and you are up near brooks.... for that being May's main terminal its sad how many drivers are sitting there waiting for loads. Luckily right now I'm kinda seeing more miles come my way, and they just put me in a brand new truck, tho I am looking to make a move to another company lol
Hope things pick up for ya, I knew I would stick it out my first year, and trust me, once my year at May passed I was gone. Even my last day was pushed back because I spent just about the last month there on breakdown.

Reroll, you were expecting to average 3, 000 miles a week? Very few average those kind of miles, especially noobs. Hope you can work it out.
