If you are so worried about what will show up on a hair folical test, then don't do anything that will show up on one. Simple as that. People can live without having to take recreational drugs. It has been proven time and time again. No one needs to smoke a joint to have a good time. No one needs to drink to have a good time. I used to smoke a joint here and there back along time ago and used to drink up a storm back in the day. I have come to learn it is all nothing but a huge waist of money for the most part. I can still have a beer now and then but they are far and few between. But you can go boycot all the companies you want, when you can't find a job then deal with it.
mustang970, Joetro, crb and 1 other person Thank this. -
.05 nanograms is the legal limit in Colorado for NON-HOLDERS, .00 is the legal limit for CDL holders. You were saying?
BTW, Fox 31 in Denver has done two televised segments regarding pot and driving. There are several segments with tv stations in other cities as well. One of them shows 3 different pot users, one casual user, one a regular user, and one an MMJ user who admits to smoking once a day. All 3 had different tolerance points before they failed the driving test, IN A CAR. The MMJ user, took 3 joints before she admitted she could not safely drive, even though after the first one, she made enough mistakes that 5 cops in attendance agreed they would stop her on suspicion of DUI.Last edited: Jul 9, 2013

Your right, they are less likely to be involved, and you don't know how it will effect you.
May 5th, 2012, one of my best friends was involved in an accident with a stoned driver. Mike was on his motorcycle, the 20 yr old who has admitted smoking two joints in the 36 hours prior to the accident (he thinks it was 12 hours between his last joint and the accident) rolled through a stop sign with a flashing amber light above it, hit the kids car broadside. The claimed he never saw the stop sign, and didn't realize he'd been hit until witnesses to the accident stopped him from trying to start his car and leave the scene. Mike's injuries set state, national, and international records for levels of severity. He was given his last rites in the ER, every surgeon who worked on him that first day (he was in surgery 16 hours) said he would be lucky to come off the operating table. Over the next 9 months, he had 4 dozen surgeries. He would never walk again without a cane, never ride a motorcycle again, never have sex again.
March 18th 2013, Mike died from a tear in his aorta caused by the stress on his body and system from injuries sustained in the accident and the following surgeries. He bled to death while on the operating table. The 20 yr old, still has never admitted or accepted responsibility for the accident, his lawyer is a big time pot advocate. Mike leaves behind an ex-wife, a finance, three children and several hundred friends, who packed the church for his funeral. The day of the funeral, there was snow on the ground, it was in the low 30's, yet the parking lot was 1/2 full of motorcycles of all types. Most of his friends are bikers, a letter was delivered to the DA in the case with over 500 signatures demanding the stiffest penalty for this kid.
Yep, you never know how pot will effect you or for how long.

and if you get caught driving in an impaired state, you get nailed for it, doesn't matter if it's alcohol, pot, cocaine, meth, over-the-counter or prescription meds. I know several people who've gotten DUI's while under the influence of Nyquil. It happens.

August 1st it will be 12 yrs since my bad accident, wasn't a fatal, but to this day, there are times where the actions of traffic around me will cause a flashback that will cause an immediate change in my driving actions.

Vicoden is a disqualifier if it turns up in a random. I have a long term prescription for vicoden for low back pain, if I can't have a solid 12 hrs between taking the pill and getting behind the wheel, I'll live with the pain.

Something else I want to through out here. The pro-marijuana crowd justified legalizing it by saying that if we tax it, regulate, and treat it like alcohol it will be great. Really? Every piece of legislation introduced or passed by the Colo. State Legislature faced an uphill battle of opposition from the pro-pot crowd. Even now that they are law, they are still threatening lawsuits about most of them. The latest nationwide calls to lower the BAC for alcohol to .05, this is backed by the pro-pot crowd, interesting. Also, so far this year, we've had a pro-pot lawyer from Colorado arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession in Alabama, and he's appalled that the state BAR may suspend his law license. Then a month back, we had a MMJ dealer, his lawyer, referral Dr. (all 3 lifelong friends) and 8 others indicted on a 71 count RICO charge. The MMJ dealer was planning to open a regular dispensary later in the year. All 11 could face up to 50 years in prison. Wait, I though it if we legalized it, the heavens would part, rainbow angel**** would rain down from the heavens, everyone would sing kumbya, and everything would be perfect.

Agreed. But the industry is still lopsided when it comes to the rules for abstaining and one's choice of poison.
