IronPony I was going to mention the scan gauge by Kevin Rutherford but I see you beat me to it and I did not know if any of you listened to him or not. Some people think he is a snake oil salesman. I do not own my truck and I will one of these days but I listened to him all the time when I ran a dedicated at night and now I do not get to listen to him as much.
Do you do the tanker or reefer trailer division and how do you like it?
Have a great day and be safe

I like the tanker division. It's easy going and the people are nice to me. I'm getting unloaded 2 hours early.
freeranger Thanks this. -
I always come down Donner on the Cali side in 8th, and using the Engine brake, Sometime in 7th depending on the wt, I never try and rush it. On the Nevada side, its always in 7th for the 1st bit. Generally got passed by everyone, but never had to worry about my brakes or the troopers.

How did the maiden voyage go with truck? Glad to see that you are dealing with nice people instead of not so nice jerks. Did the truck hold up to your expectations or is the lightweight truck gonna be an issue with room?
-
The truck is doing well on the fuel economy side. I want better but with almost 9 mpg fully loaded it's the best I've seen. It was at 8.8 and still climbing. I dropped down to 8.2 after the mountains.
Remember guys I've spent the last 3 months with myself and all my things in a bed. It's plenty of room for me. I'm trying to figure out if I want to share this space with a dog or not. My other issue is whether I want to order and lightweight mid roof or keep this one.
I'm kind and helpful. Those are the kind of people I tend to run into. I also workout to keep those other types calm and nice. I'm working off my SpringMo gut now though. -
When that space starts to feel small, getting the window curtains really makes a big difference. Last time I checked it was about $1000 from Freightliner. I use the $40 ones from Pilot.

Wow, that is a nice extra to get. Another reason I am heading there to lease. Looks like you will end up with a point from me.
