Slipped my mind till now. Police Chief & Family in a motor home, out of gas. We stopped. Gave him a lift to get Gasoline. All said & done. I am The Police Chief of X county. Your a man in need, all I can see. I made a difference, we haul things people need, we are just like everyone else, we just have bigger toys.

You might say I was in LE, 13 years USCG. We did Law Enforcement Gamewardon Search and Rescue Aids to navigation, and always on call for National Defense. 16 tons of Pot bust worked 7 out of 8 Cocaine Bust my Ship was a credited for during Desert Storm time period, Intercepted 128 Chinese being smuggled into the USA. Given out number of Log violations to Fishermen and many other safety issue. Saved over 700 lives but lost 135 lives (127 of the 128 Chinese, 6 fishermen and mother and her Baby) We stood as a solo ship with a 5" gun between the USA and the Soviet Pacific Fleet frontline Defense in the Bearing Sea. Chased a Submarine out of Alaskan Waters. Had to run a Soviet Spy Ship away from the USS America cause the FFG that was suppose to be doing that screwed up.

Miss the Guard and I miss trucking now also. Wish I could cone my self 2 times into a healthy person again and do both...

I drove fuel tankers in the Army, I am confident in my ability to learn and be safe. Thanks again and watch out for all the cages.

I started in the workforce as a Deputy for a Sheriff's Department in Texas in 1988. Did that gig for about 2 yrs and then went on a year long "exploration" I guess is the best description. Found trucking and ran with it, made a living and feed my family. Took a time card job that keeps my close to home, still trucking related, just not a driver. I dont miss the badge stuff.

You have to have 4 things to be able to claim self-defense.

    Ability, Opportunity, Jeopardy and Preclusion
    http://www.useofforce.us/3aojp/

At any time, I am pretty sure in any jurisdiction, I could lay claim to anyone of those 3 points. Preclusion would trip me up from the past training I have had and teach.

I'll leave the rest of the speculation up to whomever wants to make it.
