The first one violates the 14 hour rule, the break wasn't long enough to stop the clock and start split logging.

    The second one looks fine.

I think logs are a violation and those who check them should be punished :biggrin_25522: :biggrin_25519: :biggrin_2559:

Or possibly the driver just drove passed his 14th hour?

He should of stopped driving # what time?

I honestly wasn't trying to split break and also want to teach those that no time stops that clock unless it's 8 hours in the sleeper.

You are right in your explination though, GREAT JOB!

You should know if it's right or wrong. If you don't know for sure you need to make sure you understand them regs. Just trying to teach the drivers or anyone else who wants to learn. I will explain both figures but want this to be a discussion and for those to learn from it or let them know they understand the regs whichever

Alright, Ive been out almost 2 yrs. but Ill stab at it.. Ok, for one I never liked spliting my break on logs.. It seems like people ask for to much trouble sometimes when they do it.. But anyway....On this 1st log.. I dont see a violation..After 2 consecutive hours in the sleeper the clock stops on your 14 hour, right??

On this one Im guessing yes..I wouldnt have logged all that off duty anyway..It would have all been in the sleeper. Or consecutive off duty....But its a test I guess and Im guessing yes...I cant see how that off duty time can be equal to sleeper...When I sleep,I sleep.. Off duty doent count to me.. Id hate to know I had to do that day legal or not..But I say Its not legal..Thats my guess..
