I learned as a very young man, that it is always wise to protect your skin. Depending, of course, on what you stick it into. . . .
Chinatown, Pmracing, windsmith and 1 other person Thank this. -
This is how I wear it with my paintball mask. It helps keep the paintballs from striking my neck and making people think I have a hickey.

Drive west in the morning and east in the afternoon. Avoid north/south driving.

put sunblock on your arms, hands, face and neck EVERY morning.
You 're in and out of the truck in all kinds of weather.
Sun/no sun still has uv rays. Those are the dangerous ones.
Sunblock is better than sunscreen.
Also keeps your skin from drying out, getting wrinkles, and looking old.
Y'all take care.

I use a spring loaded window shade on the drivers side; can get them at Walmart or truckstops and can still see the rearview mirror just fine. My skin doctor recommended this; I've had surgery on my left eye due to sun damage from driving trucks. Those brown spots you see people get on their face, are pre-cancerous from sun damage and should be removed. This can be done with laser or cut out. I've had about 40 cut out, and the doctor was so good there are no scars at all. I don't trust the laser, because in my opinion it may just mask a problem and not remove the problem.
