Hey Jim, my name is Matt. TomofTx congrats on the first step. Things move rather quick at our DC. As far as the coffe, no clue! Lol.
Jim, you feel at home yet? Just wait till you get a paycheck, that is when it will sink in completely! Before you know it the week will be over and you will be driving with a mentor, then your solo!
Tom, August is probably when you orientation should start. Kay will let you know after you pass the second part.
Well I am done for today. Shut down in Katy for the night with a load for a Houston store in the morning and supposed to pick up pallets. Gonna eat and get some sleep.
Walmart here I come!

Look forward to hearing back from the DC in Sealy. Will continue as normal and let time run its course!

Grabberblue, was a nice surprise and a pleasure to meet you today! I'm sure I'll be happy at Walmart! No disappointments this far and don't anticipate any!
drozzer69 Thanks this. -
Have a great orientation !!!!
Tom, great job !!! I am certain you will hear from them, as you are a perfect fit. Now is just the patience time, which can be tough. -
drozzer69 Thanks this.

Well, day 3. There are two reasons I haven't provided a detailed itinerary as Matt (drozzer69) has. Those two reasons are:
1. He already did.
2. I'm speechless!
I am absolutely stunned with what they have told us so far. How they run things, how they ACTUALLY REALLY CARE (A LOT) for their drivers, how we're paid, the opportunities, the ease of the job, just everything, and when they say you're paid for EVERYTHING you do... they're NOT kidding! This was worth the wait, and will be for anyone else who follows a well. Tom, good luck and be sure to come back and let us know how amazed YOU are when you go through this step. I would have been very happy had this turned out to be HALF as good as I hoped, but in fact it is TWICE as good as I hoped! I don't remember being able to say that about ANY company I've EVER worked for.
If anyone is thinking of applying, do it! They can only say no. It'll be the best thing you ever did if you can get in. And for anyone who turned this down, you REALLY REALLY HAVE NO IDEA what you walked away from! First (and even second) interviews only provided a crumb of what was really being offered. Let me tell you, I've found the end of the rainbow, and you know what's really in the pot?

Hey Jim, your attachment didn't work but I am sure it was a happy, smiling, jumping for joy face! lol Very happy for you and I was glad to start this thread and provide all the details on how orientation can go. It will be a tad bit different. My uncle and I have talked about certain things that are done differently but pretty darn close to the same everywhere.
Anyway, I am glad you are happy and I am sure anyone else that is in the process or reading this and are thinking about applying should. Tom, again good luck to you and you should hear something back soon. -
Must have been too big...but it was the iconic Walmart 'gold' smiley face...lol.
-
Jim, did you do the "cheer" yet?
-
LOL...no. They didn't make us. But there's certainly a lot to cheer about!
