MsJamie, that is good to know I won't be sitting long if at all.

I do hope they will be happy I am taking care of my health by having the surgery and getting rid of the excess weight, apnea, diabetes and lessening the chance of heart disease and cancer.

I plan to actually call a recruiter soon but I want to wait til I get the hernia repaired and get cleared from that surgery. I tell you I feel so good these days I can hardly wait to demo my duck walk. LOL. Anyways no will spend the meantime studying my state manual and I've been doing the study program at a different site. I will be well prepped when I get there.

The color blindness test is part of the DOT physical. I believe they use the "what number is it" color bubble test.

What a great thread! I received a call from Prime this am stating that my application was approved. After I got home from school I starting reading this thread and it has answered all of my questions.

I have received pre-hires from Stevens, US Xpress, Schneider, and now Prime. I originally was going to go with Stevens, but it appears Prime will fit me much better. I graduate CDL school Nov. 1 so I have a bit to go, but Prime sure is looking great!

Thanks for all of the great info!!!!

I never had been around these before either. Its just like learning to drive all over again but all you gotta do is stay positive and open minded. You will be able to do it.

Are you currently in CDL school? If not, I would recommend going through Prime's school.

I want to thank silenteagle for all of this information. I am in the process of getting hired on with Prime. I have some experience with commercial driving, but I haven't driven a full truck and trailer much, since I got out of the Army. I appreciate the insight you have given to alot of people, on what to expect from Prime Trucking. Thanks again.

Did you just fill out apps and then you were pre-hired? What is the process? I am worried about filling out apps when I am not even close to finishing school. I should finish in September. How much time do you have after pre-hire approval?

One issue i have with them is you no longer get 100% of the fuel surcharge.
