Back round chack with Stevens

No problem... they will do a criminal check and an MVR check ajd an employment history. That will all be done prior to you finishing the academy. If you finish and get your CDL you will be hired. If your checks come out negative, they will send you home before you get hired.

It is obviously cheaper to keep you once they get you their so they will do a preliminary check before you even get there.

Yes but they still do the checks while the driver is in the academy. Then they don't hire him if something turns up. That sounds like a way to charge an unqualified student for useless training.
How long does a background check take? It should be done before any obligation is made.

 

If you finish the academy you are guaranteed a job with Stevens, if you do not you do not owe them any money because you are paying to acquire your CDL, if you do not finish, you have not acquired it.

 

So if in school you get charged for them doing a background check?

 

No you do not

 

That is fair and is far less risky than paying a CDL mill.
