Drivers I know you read it all the time in these forums. I can only put what I know and that is stay away from this company. The owners Charles and Tonya Martin are nothing but crooks. The company run teams coast to coast and pay 12% on the loads. If they took the time to service their equipment it would be decent, they pay on a 1099. The orientation is only 45 min to an hour. No road test. You sign a contract as a independent driver, but you are forced dispatch and no one knows what the other is doing in the office. When you have a safety issue (and you will) they tell you to keep driving. Look at their CSA Score. DOT # is 1212663. Unsafe driving score is 97.30, HOS Compliance 85.60, Driver Fitness is 81.70, and Vehicle Maint. is 86.60. They do not pay detention, breakdown, or layover.Just like most other carriers out there they tell you what you want to here. When they send you load info. its not accurate you have to call the brokers to verify everything. The ops. mgr. Steve is a 25 or 26 yr old kid (the owner's in-law) who don't know wtf he's doing. He's gotten his butt whipped already by a driver for bs. They will take your money for the least little thing. Again, (and I'm very serious) if you're serious about trucking then this is not the company for you. I did not apply to this company (directly) for a job, they called me. I filled out my app. on classadrivers.com. When they called me I asked for more info which they sent me thru email. I looked at several truckers' forums to find out whatever I could about them and didn't find anything. So I decided to give them a shot...............and #### need I say any more? If you read this and still decide to go on board,DON'T SAY YOU WEREN'T WARNED, THIS IS A TRUELY SHADY COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any company that pays on a 1099 should raise a red flag in a "heart beat".

DOT doesn't waste any time putting drivers OOS but let companies like this operate yrs before doing anything if they even do that is.If anyone actually believes the laws and HOS are all about safety,I have cheap swampland to sell you.

On a positive note, they do hire drivers that have some problems in their past, such as prison time. Those drivers need employment and are trying to get their life back in order and Martin hires them where other companies slam the door in their face. I respect the company for that.

My last company did the same thing and their rating was right at 100%.A TN pulled me over just for that to check my logs.Hes the one that told me they at 100%.People deserve a second chace depending on the crime. But I would say companies that really don't care who they hire as long as then can drive would most likely have a poor safety rating.I learned from my last company to check their safety and such before applying because if too bad chances r ill get pulled over inspected and I did many times with the last company. There safety reflects my cdl.Owner gave me a raise twice not to quit but finally had enough.

Most companies will hire certain felons.

No excuse for that safety rating.

I read your post but dont know where you are from. I will soon be relocating to southeast NC (hopefully) and am looking for a dry van operation that can get me home most weekends. If you find one or know of one and are in that area, or anyone else who reads this-let me know.
