wierd accidint... video

seems to me dump trucker wanted to follow car to overtake slow truck but car driver saw cross, solid like and oncoming SUV and wanted to back it right lane but saw big rig got no room to slow down and stoped in center of road

anyway dump truck driver was too fast and fortunatly new tonar trailer got EBS with RSS systems that's why no jack knifing on panic braking and steering

 

I know owners of small truck fleets in Russia and they say it is a BIG problem to find a good driver. in USSR age more loads were moved by railway, hghway network was poor and on some directions rail in was possible only (truck moved by train). There were enought good CDL schools... but now .... more a half drivers are not skilled enought, not truckers only. Four wheelers in Russia drive like komikadze. They make driving on freeway real racing!

Anyway situation changes. Less accidents every year, better driving culture...

Other country with bad drivers is Italia! Sometimes I hate Italian four wheelers!

 

some difference. If it is a road like this this speed limit is 55 MPH, becouse one lane in one direction, no fence, no barrier. on freeway limit is 70.

In Ukraine if no barrier - 55 MPH, with barrier 70 MPH, but there are some highways limit is 80.

In any town, village speed limit is 40 (but name of town must be on road sign wight background, if highway with all safety stuff runs throught town sign is blue and no town speed limit till you exit this highway).

Fortunatly no many cops with radar guns on freeways, but they usually in small towns and villages. I was ticketed this year onece.

cops usually pull you over if you overspeed more then 15MPH. They usually do not chase you, they use long distance laser guns and show you a sight to stop.

IMO. Ukraine is not so bad. Not so many accidents like in Russia, trafic runs slower and drivers not so agressive.

 

this dump trailer is concidered good in Russia. It is normal that dump trailers are usually overloaded and Tonar makes trailers like for higher rating they made for. They make toughter frames and axles. That's why no so bad twist damage as we use to see on other dump trailers.

The cheapest dump trailer on our marker is made in Poland Bodex.

 

yep, sometimes it is better to dich a truck and do minor repare only. Onece company driver calls me that he needs right hand mirror for volvo. I ask him - what style is it, he unswers - I cant be sure, I wait for tow truck) LOL
