Beer, wine and fuel are money makers for most mini-mart type stores.
As long as you are sober when operating any type of machinery that could put ohers in danger, do what you want, off duty. That goes for getting half-baked on weed the night before, then trying to operate machinery the next day with a clear head.

I don't drink often, but, the rule I was taught was:

    Eight hours, bottle to throttle...

Of course, if you got totally skunked the night before, it might be more, much more than 8 hours...

Tell that to my feet. I've had redness and itching. I use rubbing alcohol on it, rub it in good for about 5 minutes, get instant relief, and not have the itching again for a long time (days) especially if I do this treatment several times for a few days.

But my feet are obviously lushes. :biggrin_2559:

Not an option for some of us

Or at least, not an option I would consider

Thats what my dad used to say. Now he is in his late 60s, can barely walk anymore. He quit buying beer buy the case about 15 years ago because he just drank to much to keep carrying a cart full of beer every week. He drinks a full size keg every week. He is now on perm disability, the reason the doctors won't operate is because of his alcohol problem and even noted on the paperwork to the state the condition is caused by alcoholism. The sad part is that he has now got to the point of being so depressed about the condition he only wakes up to start drinking. He can not go to sleep until he gets a buzz which doesn't happen until after about the 18th mug. The doctors told him he probably wouldn't survive a detox in his condition. On the rare occasion I do have a beer with him the first thing he has always said to me is, " If you don't start, you won't have to stop." He also does not go anywhere he can not have beer and a sober driver. For the past year he has been trapped in his hole in the garage where he has his keg waking up about 9 pm cracks the tap and is sleeping around 7 am. I hope nobody has to go through this because they can't find or refuse to find an alternative way to unwind just because it is there right as an American to freely consume a legal drug.

Yes because everyone who drinks will end up like this. I'm sorry your dad is in the condition he's in, but it doesn't mean everyone who drinks large amounts of alcohol will end up like this.

I drink a lot, but it's not often. I only drink maybe once a month or so. I choose not to stay away from alcohol because I enjoy the feelings it gives me. Helps me relax. Better to drink than to take pills or something.
