You can't run all Canada if you're a driver based in the USA. You can take a load from USA to Canada, drop off the stuff in Canada (one stop or multiple stops) then you have to reload for the USA. Same goes the other way. Canadian drivers aren't allowed to go to the USA and drop, reload, drop, reload in the USA. It's illegal. It keeps everyone happy because it means we're not driving in the USA and taking their jobs and vice versa.

Go ahead and slam Quebec all you like - most of us in Canada have no patience for them!! ROFL!! :) Last summer, I ran into more non-English speaking Quebecers than I ever did years ago. English is the second language of just about every country in the world yet Quebec won't speak it? Pffft...

Anyway, good luck. Sorry, we don't drive for Scheider, we drive for Armour so can't help you there :)

Oh yeah, I think that's called "Interstating", or "Cabotage". Nope, never been guilty of that, and if I'm not sure, someones got some explaining to ME, to satisfy ME, that the load is legal for ME. That's the most me's I think I've ever said!LOL.

I was talking a while back with some Ontario resident drivers, and Quebec came up. I told them I'd never had much of a problem. One of the guys said it was because I had US tags on my truck, is that possible?

When I was with CFI, I had the Stars and Stripes and the Maple Leaf license plates on my front bumper. I had to snag a load down in Missouri going to Scarborougho On. While there, a Bison driver came in, and we started BSing. Well, while waiting to be loaded, 3, yes 3 other CFI trucks came in, one ofcourse had the stars and bars on his bumper. Guess who got loaded before either of us. And we had already been there way beyond our pickup times. I guess it happens both ways, but it's pure ignorance, no matter how you cut it. We're all Americans, like it or not. And as far as the northern line in the sand goes,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    I better quit.

Bear, thanks for doing what you're doing:biggrin_25514: I'm from further up in the thumb area originally, and even that was nothing like it is now. Seems the "modern" way of doing things has infiltrated there as well. Ever hear of Ste. Claire? That was the way it was spelled when I lived there. Ofcourse now the standards have been lowered and it's spelled St. Clair. So, I went up around Alpena, bought some dirt, and built a house. This Sept. I'll have 2 years driving under my belt, and going back up there. Sell my house down here, and don't look back. With the decline of Michigan industry, Southeast lower is just not a good place to be for many reasons.:biggrin_25512:
