Apparently I can't. Yet anyway. Until you post 7 times it's not possible to PM - at least that's what I just read when trying to PM you. If you would prefer to email...?
-
Sure what is your email.

A very close friend and former co driver went to Andrus. He was very hopeful because they seemed to be very caring of their drivers. There is a lady there that goes to your bank and personally deposits the payroll check into your account. After a few months there he ended up leaving due to the major equipment problems that were not being fixed properly. I have met and talked to several of their drivers who all had similar complaints about the lack of proper care for the trucks and trailers. This was a few years ago, so hopefully they have changed things since then.

I was able to check out the terminal when I took him up to St. George on Sunday and every truck I saw there were all late model Volvos, they looked real nice. They did say that none of their trucks were older than 2010 so 3 years isn't that bad. Not sure what year he will get yet as he hasn't been assigned a truck yet, that will happen tomorrow. So far everything has been going really well for him and he's happy with his choice. Of course it's still the beginning so things can always change.

Good luck to him - and to you.

Glad to hear he is happy. The only real issue was getting road service to approve repairs. For example he had been going through a gallon a day of coolant. The fix was, just keep filling it up whenever you stop driver. Week later the motor blew in BFE pulling those nice lovely hills on I 84.

Oh wow that is crazy! He was told yesterday that he is required at every stop to get an inspection done on his vehicle to make sure that everything is in working order. To me it's sounds like they are being a bit more pre-emptive about those kind of things now. But once again only time will tell. This is the 4th company he's been with and he said that already Andrus seems way better than the other 3 he drove for.
