Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Got all my drops off and am back at the house. Not bad. I left at 6am, was at my first drop at 7am and was done at my last drop at 10am. All four drops were within 8 miles of each other. The hardest part of my day was backing into some of these little supermarkets. All in all it was all good. I did get my new mattress delivered on Friday. It's now in the truck. It says it takes up to 12 hours to get to it's full thickness. From what I've seen so far and how it feels, it's money well spent.

 

What a morning so far. I had a complete physical at the Doctor, you know, bend over, cough left, cough right, all the unpleasant things you go through once a year. Then as I was leaving I was on the phone with my wife and got pulled over by a Sheriffs officer for speeding, 60 in a 45 and not wearing my seat belt. The funny thing about that is my wife is always on my back about how slow I drive, and I always wear the seat belt. It started out as 2 tickets and ended up as 2 warnings. The cop saw I have a CDL and told me he was going to run my license and if it came back clean he would only write me the 2 warnings. He was real cool and I was done with just the 2 warning tickets.

I'll call in to dispatch later today to start that process for tomorrow. In the mean time, I have had this incredible urge the last few months to buy a new bike, I thinks this will be the day. I'll take my wife with me to keep her in the loop. After all these years if she says something is ok then the least I can do is make sure she's involved.
