I got it from kraft in atl, but it only takes a couple loads to get it from plover to atl. We drop in plover, then drop and hook in madison, then someone picks up in madison going to atl, where we drop. Next thing you know I have it.

I can't imagine the stress of a bad reefer with dairy on board.

Day two down. Today felt more productive. We covered HOS, paper log intro, and general knowledge review. I thought the instructor was great, she definitely knew her stuff. We lost another one today.
I was always worried about mixing up acceptable air leakage rates on tests, but I got the best piece of info today.
# of vehicles (1 or 2) + breaks released (1) or applied (2) = amount of acceptable PSI leakage.
Awesome. Or maybe that's just me, lol.
Anyway, everybody be safe...I'm ready for day three! -
Woke up this morning, put on a polo shirt and my big boy slacks and prepared for a crappy day. Got unloaded right after I got dressed, ran to the 99, and they actually accepted me 8.5 hrs late! Then they got me out the door in under 3 hrs!! Boom, saved my week. Not sure if it was luck, the way I approached people all day, or just looking professional and staying positive. I just know I thought the week was shot and now I'll probably end up with layover pay because I'm back to running ahead of schedule, lol. Driving some really old trailers though. Last few days I had 539515 and now I've got a 543xxx! Keeping my fingers crossed I'll make it through the end of the month without issues.
Lady K Thanks this. -
we? are you a trainer?

i learned one thing. the only ones i have trouble with are the stupid retarted carrier trailers. they like just make no sense. as long as its a thermo king im good. knock on wood. but ya thats why i love drop n hook. never have the same trailer for too long.Arkansas Frost Thanks this.

We as in Kraft dedicated. I went back and forth about training, but i finally decided it's not for me. I like my sleep too much, and I have a very high sleep inertia. Waking me up to cross a scale could result in a situation similar to an encounter with a sleepwalker on ambian. I've been known to do strange things when I first wake up, like not knowing what my alarm clock is, or why it's making noise, or how to make it stop. I also sometimes answer a ringing phone without realizing what's happening, then hang up on the poor sap who woke me up, only to completely forget the event until the would-be caller tells me it happened later (one time I actually realized I'd answered a call and tried to carry on a convo with my dad. I wish I had a tape of that).
The upside to high sleep inertia? I can be awake for a substantial amount of time before I'm too tired to stay awake. Unfortunately that doesn't help with training. -
Since I've been here I've had 2 reefer problems. The first was a TK (bad connection to a solenoid caused shutdown) and now this carrier (whose brains seem to be addled). I'm 50/50 on which ones break down. When you're a l/o though, you hate to see a pre 565 trl. The older the trl the worse the fuel economy.Arkansas Frost and Lady K Thank this.

Hey guys I have a question? I am on the truck with my trainer with central. Is it normal that my trainer always use my EFS card to pay for scales and fuel and he never let me use my reward card because he use his with my Efs card. I am new to trucking is this normal
