    Oh wait a second!!!!!!! There is not much to crow about and this certainly didn't do a whole lot of "cruisin"
    Talk about making a man out of ya. 85 FL spring ride, 36" bunk with 300 Cummins and a 9 spd. I put over 30,000 miles on that rig. Had it as far south as Miami FL and as far north as Belle Fourche SD, as far east as Trenton NJ and as far west as SLC UT. All during the winter. It was infinitely warmer of a rig in FL than it was in WY, UT, SD etc.

    It made enough money to step up to the 96 KW T600 that later I sold to BroncRider.

    Only 30k miles and you were upgrading, pretty impressive my friend. And gotta give you credit for dealing with the spring ride, I'm sure that pulling that skateboard made for a super fun trip! Even hubbys 06 KW rode rough when he was hauling pipe, so I'm sure that you took a beating in that thing. :biggrin_25525:

    Looks like money to me Brickmann.

    Most these days have no idea how a spring ride truck rides :biggrin_25510: My pete is rough enough with air ride but no air ride cab. Most people these days would freak out over even that

    I have no picture, but the first guy I worked for had a pair of small bunk FLD 120s with N-14 engines, one on steel springs with a short wheelbase and 1 on air ride with a longer wheelbase, the short wheelbase truck had a straight pipe exhaust and a Jake, which made far more noise than stopping power. It had been turned up to 430 horsepower and had a 9 speed. The other truck had no Jake but had been turned up from a 460, I don't know how fast it went, but it would lock in the cruise control at 80 and had more on top of that, I figured it for being an old bull hauler. The air ride truck was lighter than the shaker on steel even though the frame was probably 2 foot longer.

    Pulling an air ride reefer on I-90 west of Alden,MN near Blue Earth, that shaker on steel would jump almost off the road, and bob tailing was basically a low altitude flight on a rough road with lots of take offs and landings.
