Technically all fuel is paid for by the trainer. His money, his rewards. They set it up like that so you can learn and understand how to purchase fuel. Don't sweat it, just make sure he lets you use the showers off his cards. Good luck man.

Added up all my miles for the week, at 2,350. Not bad at all. I was told originally that midwest should expect 18-2200, then when my dm picked me up from the airport, he said, id like to see you at 2500. So far hes done pretty good, especially for a new dm. At .41 cpm, that makes for a pretty good first full weeks paycheck.

I love the 578's. Those precedent reefers are almost silent.

What is the fun in that? I just love to pull up besides RVs in the rest areas with the reefer screaming all night. :biggrin_25522: I have my ear plugs in and it is just a distant noise to me. I like the cont. cycle better than the on/off cycle since it always shakes the truck when it starts and stops. To me it feels like somebody is climbing on the truck or in the trailer.

I like the cont. cycle because it uses more fuel, and we get the points for it without paying for it ;-)

speaking of reefers, on the carriers, i noticed depending on what temp/setpoint you put it at, it changes from cont. to cycle by its self, if im doing it right. But on the thermo kings, you have to manually change it between the two. How are you supposed to know on the TKs when its supposed to be on right?

Unless Im way off here, then let me know. lol

I always stop and fuel my reefers when Im taking a pee break, gives me an excuse to pull in the fuel isle. and get more points, and seeings how I pretty much have 2, sometimes 3 trailers a day on this midwest fleet, it adds up.

Only problem is the more fuel stops you make the more on duty time you waste.
