Hey guys..
I am leaning towards Roehl for my first driving job and was wondering about others opinions on where to get my CDL.
I could either get my CDL in Indanapolis at Roadmaster or I could go to Roehl and get my CDL with them. I am a veteran so either way I will not pay out of my pocket..
Opinions?

If you're sure Roehl is the company for you, then go with Roehl.
If you're just leaning toward Roehl, but not sure, go with Roadmaster. You can still go with Roehl anyway after Roadmaster. With Roadmaster, you can change your mind if you see another company you like better. -
Thanks for the advice.. I am thinking Roehl because of their hometime..

Hometime is important after being in the military with long deployments. Of course, deployments to the Orient are...uh..ummm....you get my drift. Sandbox is a whole different matter.

I haven't seen a company beat Roehl's hometime fleet options. Their school is fantastic as well.
Puppage Thanks this. -
There are several that offer 7 on 7 off, or 14 on 7 off, or 6 on three off like Roehl, a few I know of off hand are Schnedier, Knight, Marten, I'm sure I'm missing alot of them..inbdusfor20yrs Thanks this.

Ahh ok. Guess I hadn't researched enough. I thought Roehl was one of a very few that offered those packages.

Thanks guys, I will check the others out. I know whichever one I decide to go with, they have to work with the VA so I can get my GI Bill payments. I know for a fact Roehl and Schneider does..

You could go to Roehl's school (RDTC in Marshfield, WI) and then go drive somewhere else if you decide not to go with Roehl for employment. The school is run financially separate from the trucking company, and the quality of training you get for the price of tuition is a great value.
