Is anyone running flatbeds in Roehl's Midwest regional fleet? If so, about how many miles do you get per week on average? Is there much down time between loads? Also, how often do you go to Canada?

I used to run MW Regional Flatbed, in my humble opinion, hardest working fleet in the company. I ran 2500 miles consistently working M-F and resetting weekends. Sometimes for 34 often for 48, almost always home under load. .02cpm paycut from National which is bs because you run harder.

I run national out of Phoenix and live in Reno. Every chance they get, they send me to the midwest. There's definitely more work there, if not just because we have more customers there. I haven't been to Canada yet, and it's been 9 months.

Well to be honest, my best weeks are about 2200 miles from monday to saturday or sunday to saturday (If I'm out a full six days I might get that 2500 mark) Usual for me, 2000-2200 miles, out 5-6 days... very rarely home for 48 hours. Three weeks ago I didn't even get a reset. Treefork you must be quick at tarping, or you FM loved you more than most to be home for 48 more often than not!

Pay is still 2 cents less than National... haven't quite figured that one out... unless it's their way to try and deter drivers from going MWR- it seems to me the National Fleet guys are averaging more miles per week than regional... but hey I'm just a green-horn. I've been to Canada once... its a major headache getting back into the states (mostly b/c of customs traffic) if you already told the recruiters you have a passport, tell your fleet manager you "misplaced" it... not worth the hassle in my opinion.
If you want to "touch" home every weekend MWR is the fleet for you, but don't be surprised by the consistency of day-and-a-half (or shorter weekends).
It works for me though so I can't complain, what works for one guy doesn't for the next, its all about your preferences and tolerances. -
Gosh they dont give me any of those Tractor loads! All I get are boring corn and bean heads out of E. Moline every couple of weeks!... So unfair!

Both.
Though all I do now is drop trailers and occasionally close a door.
