I started with my Mentor on December 12th and took my road test February 2nd. We had a lot of home time through the holidays so went over the 6 week mark a tad...but it was all good!

I finished my training in 5wks but we rarely stopped moving and I did more driving than my mentor. -

my husband was out with his trainer from April 8th or 9th and came home Memorial day weekend. Mentor took week and 4 days home time while my husband was with him
-
Well I hope he was kind enough to include your hubby in the home time.
My mentor also took some home time while I was training (but not that long).
I got to meet his wife and mom, had some good meals and conversations.
My training took about 8 weeks, partly because it was in the winter months when freight is slow. -
His menttour did take him home during his home time. The first time he went home he was moving his fiance into a new apartment. Cj stayed at his old home for 4 days until they got moved into the apartment, then stayed in a motel for 2 days. The second time his mentor went home he stayed at his mentors house again. His mentor also met my husbands mother and brother when they went through Louisiana.
