So ever morning I get 25 or so with e-mails about loads to quote at the top of that list 10 oversize loads 10.6 wide 47,000lbs Baytown,tx to Brusly,La that's 250 miles so I priced it at $1,100 not five minutes after it was sent to me. I received a reply in less than a min saying that 8 loads had been covered for $700 a load.

I can't believe people move stuff that cheap and its never going to change it just blows my mind $87 in permits two hours on the phone getting the permits all day load because all the trucks there D/H 60 miles to get it for $600 don't sound smart to me.....ATS must took them!

when they had regulated freight one of there goals was to stop that kind of rate cutting. after that was stopped the mega carriers started becoming more powerful and things just got worse from that point. that being said some of the o/o saying i can haul it a little cheaper than that is not helping either. b careful out there

I went to ATS a few weeks ago, this was a big mistake. Did my research, nobody had any discouraging info, lied to by recruiter (shocker huh) and now trying to figure out where to go from here. Was told avg. 2.08 per mile for all miles. I've yet to see $2 a mile in the midwest.

And your never going to! ever wonder why they have so many branches of ATS? its a way to hide money they move a load from one division to the next and taking money off the top each time they do it and by the time you get it it pays $1.60/mi when they get it from the customer its over $3/mi plus fuel. Smart way of making money ant it.....and you as a driver only can see what there billing the other division not what the customer is getting billed.

Any suggestions on decent companies to check out? I'm at a loss here.
