Transport America gave me some thought, but my MVR would'nt cut it for them.
CFI/Conway on the other hand said wait to see if the state pays for my CDL school.( will know any day now) MVR was OK with them, but would not give a prehire just yet.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Be safe...

Genuine support and miles? depends on your fleet manager.
Paperless logs/ qualcom easy to figure out? Yes, also best thing about Werner. DOT never screws with the Werner logs- they can't figure them out. Also, don't believe B.S. about the paperless logs costing you driving time. Most drivers who complain about the system don't use the correct macros. Besides, a phone call to the Logs Dept. will fix all but line #3 times.
GPS? Yes, and yes you'll need it.
Dedicated out of the ATL Terminal? Usually available -
To answer your questions my student driver manager has not been able to help me with all problems. All he says is that he will got right on it and get back to me. Well it is feb. and i started in november and still nothing has been done about my concerns. Everytime i confront him he just says the same thing. Anyways the reason it took 4 months is because both of my trainers quit in the middle of training because they were just tired of all the problems with dispatch. My concerns are deffinetly not isolated, its happeinig to everyone in the company that i have spoken with. The guys like me that take the time to write warnings for other drivers is for a reason and their are many problems with the company. I was running a dedicated route with my first trainer and i was running a 48 state with my second trainer and i had the same problems with both trainers, what a coincidence! The dispatch problems included sending messages for help because of a break down and them no responding. When my trainer called it took him over an hour to get a hold of some one and when he did he told my trainer that he would have to drive the broken down truck, which was in very dangerous conditions to the next truck stop which was 25 miles away. Even though we let the dispatcher know the situation, he told us that we still had to drive the truck in those conditions anyway as long as it still was running.
Also with dispatch, when you are done with a load and your trying to recieve info on your next load you could be waiting for 3 days like me and my trainer did on 3 different occasions, ofcoarse making the training process even longer because you cant finish your training unless your driving, my trainers were pissed to be sitting and not making money! Ask werner yourself they will not issue you chains, its company policy, oh and you should see the chains they have waiting for you when you pick them up at truck stop, they are in horrible condition, bent and broken. About the trainers, they were both great and had a lot of experience but the company did not keep them very long, they promise you the world but just dont deliver, yes not all companys are perfect but this company is the worst, trust me! It is actually humiliating to work for this company because they have such a bad reputation that other truckers felt sorry for me that i was actually working for this company, your just not respected at all. The way they cheat you on pay is on the miles. Lets say that your going from ca. to tex and in reality its 2000 mi. Well werner will pay you for 1800 mi which is quite a bit and does add up over time. THis was the biggest concern for my trainers. Hope this helps -
Cmon people....use common sense here. Almost everything said on here is true....but keep in mind...this is a training company. There are quite a few of theses training companies out here and they are all basicly the same. Werner orientates 100s of people every 2 days. People with no expierence and can not get jobs with the good companies till they get 6 mo-1yr exp. They know and realize they are a training company and that 90% are going to leave them with in the first yr. Trainers can have 6 mo. exp. and be trainers. They are out to make profit while training drivers for other companies. Their maintence and repairs do suck. But there are alot of Werner trucks out there and alot of trucks being turned in by people quitting everyday. These trucks have to be repaired and refurbished before they go out again, they are turned in in terriable shape. As far as waiting 3 days for a response is the drivers fault. A qualcom is like a note. You can ignor a note, but you get on the phone is like getting in someones face...they can not ignor you, especially if you keep calling. If you get ignored its your own fault. Agian most everything you hear about Werners training program and company is true. They are not the cream of the crop....the cream of the crop would not hire you till you get exp. So bide your time, get your exp., and learn as much as possiable for your next job. And one other thing anyone doing their research knows that Werner does not cheat you out of miles. If they have done their research before hand they know that Werner does not pay hub miles or practical miles, they pay movers guide miles and you should know that before you hire on with them. Alot people hire on to a company with out doing any research then complain over being cheated.

Thanks to all for the replies and help.
Did not know Werner did not pay practical miles. Hmm.
I agree-stick it out for 6 months or so and move on.
Just trying to make it as tolerable a 6 months as possible.
Central Refridgerated gave me a pre hire today, so another choice is there.
