Buying a tractor out of state and will be driving home about twelve hrs....whats the story with bobtailing home legally besides a temp tag and Bobtail insurance?. Will pass through IL,IN,OH,PA,NJ...Do get a transit permit or something? for fuel tax etc?. I assume standard log book rules apply unless there is an exemption for just using it as a personal vehicle to transport home.
Thanks for any advice
