agree with most of these guys. good road, boring view. You can run good speed on it , just watch the winds.... yes watch speeds and follow truck route around boulder city.

And may I add, any parts that you had that were a wrench and a few turns to remove will not be there when you come back out. Don't gamble in the Casino it is rigged!! But they all are! Be well Driver.

They worked on the bypass bridge and added lanes south of the dam. Took about 7 years with a few set backs along the way. It came out nice!

i've only been back on the road 2 1/2 years now. my first triip was to kingman. over the hoover ###. i don't see any difference in the route between now and when i first started. so i wouldn't have any idea on what it was like beforehand.

but i was talking about page. 5 months now and it don't look like anything is going on with that road. and i bet the residents around there are NOT a happy camper. or the businesses on that 45 mile stretch that no one uses anymore. cuz there's not much traffic going into jacobs lake. from the arizona side.

Hacienda has been sold to the Dotty"s casino chain. Hope they will still offer the free rooms.

Anyone remember when they allowed trucks across the Hoover dam? I loved that drive!

The truck traffic over the dam was stopped in 2011. I've been across that dam a lot in gasoline trucks and dry double vans. It's fun to have the eyeballs runaround while moving about 3mph over the bridge but was still a danger because of all the foot traffic. You route is the best way to Las Vegas because you've either got to go to Bullhead City or Parker. On US93 you'll save miles and time.

The sale to Dotty's hasn't been completed yet. Not sure if they'll keep the deal after.

Definitely watch your speed once in Nevada - till you get past Railroad Pass and on the interstate.
