Dnt oversteer and let your trailer do the work. It will go in the hole by itself, and remember whetever you are looking is where the trailer will go. Stare at the cones the trailer is gonna head towards the cones. im sure you will be good when testing comes, sounds like you have awsome instructors. Good luck!

DAY 4
FINALLY! I alley docked with no help and without OVER-THINKING! It took me three times (twice with the help of Dave) to get the alley dock down. The angle makes it hard so I just have to remember 35-25-45. Once I do those three degrees the rest is just left, straight, left straight, left, straight- DONE!
I enjoy that Alliance stands back when you ask and allows you to make mistakes. Once you make a few and start to realize what you are doing wrong it just makes it easier. Dave and Sandy could tell me how to get in the alley every time even if i mess it up from jump. I need to have that same ability and that is really what Alliance is all about. Giving you the tools to not just pass your CDL test but getting you ready to be a TRUCKER. I am so happy I picked Alliance. My choice is confirmed every time I train.divercal Thanks this. -
Thanks for your info. I googled searched this company since I live very close, and was wondering if they were good or not. Thanks for clearing that up!

Very helpful thread, Gunner. Thanks!
I had found Alliance through a listing of California trucking schools on TruckingTruth.com and really liked that they offer one-on-one instruction.
And now I know they are great guys to learn from too!
I'll call them next week to talk about when I might start.
Looking forward to your future posts. Good luck in your new career!
And thanks for helping another newbie in the L.A. area feel confident in taking his first steps.

DAYS 5 & 6
sorry to combined these but I am a bit behind on my posts. I have been training as well as trying to earn some extra $$$ on the side.
I am still having trouble with Alley Docking. I am slowly getting better. I have to stop thinkingabout backing up RVs or cars. I will get it. Thank goodness Sandy and Dave are patient.
I will keep this updated more often.CannonballSteve Thanks this. -
Good luck. How long and how much is the school?

Around $5500. It takes as long as you need, because it is all one on one. Right now the WIA guys do it M-F 8-12 for about 8 weeks. SO that should give you an idea.
