Dumb truck drivers. What can ya do with them??

 

Didnt know if any of you guys and gals heard but there was a epes trailer burnt down on I-30 west about 50 miles into texas if I remember right on location. The trailer is gone. I did not see a truck at all it looked as if something in the center of the trailer caught fire. By the time I seen it they were cleaning it up. So it happened a while before I drove by. I figured I would let you guys know. I hope the driver is alright

but, I also have a master's with honors and you don't see me whining because someone used a wrong tense or missed an apostrophe or ran a sentence or two together. geez lighten up and get a life. it's not like we're doing a ####### doctoral thesis about life at epes.

I feel it's far more important that the person be able to operate the vehicle in a professional and safe manner than whether they use a wrong tense, don't know the difference between a colon or semicolon or missed the fact their participle was dangling. as long as they can get their point across when imparting an important piece of information and/or I can at least understand what they've written, form and manner and poor composition skills aren't really that important in the bigger picture. you have to remember as well, beyond the fact that many out here didn't make it past high school and don't have advanced degrees like some of us out here do, many times we're working off of our phones instead of having the luxury of sitting at a laptop with a full keyboard and that can be rather limiting as well. guess you didn't read the rules of the forum.

but, you should check out some of the O/O threads and the bottom feeder threads.....plenty for you to critique there. of all the threads on this board I've found the grammar and composition skills in this one to be way above average compared to most on here.

 

one other thing that came out of the classes last week.....if you haven't already registered your medical with your home state, you need to do that NOW.

the regs stated enforcement wasn't supposed to begin until next year but they're doing it now. Dan said we've had 8 drivers placed out of service already because their licenses had been cancelled due to not registering their medicals.

safety has the affidavit that has to be completed and faxed along with a copy of your card to your home state DMV. get up with them and get it done soon as you can or you may get placed OOS if they run your license and you haven't done it yet and your home state already is enforcing.

 

got assigned my new truck. literally new only has 80 miles on it. out of the auto and back into a real truck lol

this one has a magtec so that'll open up some loads I haven't been able to get and I won't be dropping the loads out of Miami in Orlando for someone else to take anymore when i'm down there.

it's been nice to have a few days home since I haven't been getting here much lately but back to it in the morning early. got a Lakeland for Tuesday 6am.

 

THANK GOD I NEVER DECIDED TO MAJOR IN ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!! I'd have people, like yourself, haunting me for the rest of my life! On the other note.....welcome to the internet! Some folks here don't have a LAPTOP and USE THEIR PHONES!!!!!!!!!!

heard on the radio while going over tappan zee bridge, construction on the upper level of the gw bridge will start this week and go through the end of the year. work is supposed to be done at night.

 

I heard I'm never touching that GD bridge again! Since some jacka$$ side-swiped me in the middle of the bridge at 4 am! I can't get those dang horns honking out of my head! He bent my blind side mirror in! NO damage, thank god! lol
