Me and my trainer would do 600 miles in 14 hrs the day we came home we did 1300 miles in 21 hrs but we teamed that trip[/QUOTE]
How did you do that? Compliance at May wants the trainer and student to run no more than 14 hrs combined. No team driver is allowed. If Don at corporate finds out about that, your trainer is going to get his butt ripped. -

yeah while i was training we both ran of the 14 hr clock when i upgraded i was no longer a trainee so there was two options he could drive solo and just give me a ride down to phoenix (and i just sit back and enjoy the ride not getting paid ) or i could help but we would have to team it to phx .... The reason i needed a ride back to phoenix was because they had no trucks available in brooks and my truck was sitting in phx -
Oh that makes sense then. You had soloed out by then.

In 5 months, EVERY time I've been home has been late. Some of my hometime requests have been ignored completely. It's not a matter of being firm, they simply don't care.
Point in case: In Denver where I live on a Wednesday, due start time off on Friday. Did they just let me go a day early? No, late afternoon I was dispatched on a trip to SLC - a full days drive each way. -
Just wondering hows your old man doing does he like it at may ?????
Dirts_oldlady88 Thanks this. -
He has his moments. The first 2 weeks were rough, his truck was constantly in the shop. They put him in a hotel one of those times and then took out the difference of the hotel out of his pay so I was kinda fuming about that. IMO which I know common sense doesn't float very far with companies sometimes. But when you call your first 3 hotels and they are booked when you finally book a room for your driver you should check on the price before you confirm it. But oh well.
He's spent a lot of time ######## about missing the Love showers, taking a shower in the dungeon of hell in Colorado's yard. Other then that he's just trucking along. We're coming up on his first home time. Will it happen on time? I'm not holding my breath, didn't tell the kids either in case he doesn't make it.
I just keep reminding him... this is a steppin' stone till he can get with a local gig. Just keep on havin' faith.Last edited: Aug 6, 2013

Why anyone would use the showers in colorado I will never understand....
and yeah, once my pay wasn't corrected for the hotel I would have parked that thing and told them it wasn't moving till I got my money back lol. I spent lots of time in hotels because my truck was in the shop but they always deposited the money right onto my card and I used a com check to pay most times -
The pic of the showers he sent me had Freddy Krueger written all over them.

A pair of flip flops work just fine. Hot water is hot water when you're in dire need of a shower, don't have a shower credit, or, can't find a place to park at that nasty Pilot over there.
As far as grown men being afraid of the basement, that's an anatomy problem
