Cummins c-13

IS CUMMINS C13 435-470HP ENGINE. i was wondering is this is good for california mountains. i finally found a good deal in the market but the engine is confusing me. Not sure if it can take the mountains?

 

also how about the maxforce engine?

heres the problem i am looking for a truck that wont brake down in the early months. I am also looking for a DEF fluid truck. i herd the DPF is horrible. I do not want to call service in the middle of the trip. i am looking considering the 2007 columbia
