I had a tough time verifying experience with my S corp even when I leased to Landstar. I made it through though, but I can't imagine going with a mega bottom feeder like Werner after running my own.

I love Songster trying to school Red Foreman though. It made me laugh which I needed today. I mean a wannabe trying to tell a very organized two truck carrier how it is!!!! It doesn't get funnier than that, but that seems to be the trend on TTR these days.

I didn't try to school Red Foreman in the trucking industry. His posts weren't helping, and it looks like I finally got him to realize that. It would be nice if the vets of the industry who aren't really going to help, would stop cluttering up newbie threads, since short, sarcastic remarks don't help us. THAT seems to be the trend (for some) on TTR. Speaking of which, thanks in advance for staying off mine.

Whoa there bud. Red is a very respected member of this forum, and has contributed a TON of great information for others to follow here. Just because he was joking with you, doesn't mean you get to disrespect him here, your thread or not. He has tried to explain things to you so that you would understand from and O/O perspective.

You need to lighten up here. :biggrin_25511:

I didn't disrespect him. If you scroll back and read, he made multiple comments that weren't answering the question or helping. And I didn't interpret his 'step back from the keyboard or I'll shoot' comment as joking. *I* was the one being disrespected, until he finally, and surprisingly, took the time to type a real response worth reading. Fortycalglock's rude remark was dissing me on my own thread. Um, no.

I have no problem doling out my share of 'Thanks' to sincere people who have helped, (as you know), and there have have been plenty.

Hey, don't stress. Red is a cranky old guy that is sleep deprived because he has the reefer running behind him all night and then has to get up at 02:00 for a 03:00 grocery delivery.

Listen Newbie, if you even have a CDL. We get wannabes like you on here on all the time. Yes, you, wannabe, were trying to school Red, someone with a vast business background and operates a 2 truck carrier on this business. You don't know jack, a year from now driving a company truck, you still won't know jack. Your personality isn't going to fit in very well in this industry.

Wow, that's a really disrespectful post. I hope an admin enforces the rules and can delete it. I don't think I can delete any posts. Not even my own.

If YOUR personality is representative of people in the trucking industry that I'd actually have to deal with, you're probably right.

Songster ya busted me. I have a habit of being too concise. On the other hand, I also will usually be the last one here to post empty, snide, or even hurtful comments. There was content there. You just didn't see it the first time.

The "step away from the keyboard" remark wasn't just focused on you. It was a funny (to me) remark about how everyone seemed to be dissecting that woman's youtube video. As-if there was some trade secret or conspiracy theory buried in there. I just saw it at face value. A woman trying to inspire others to do what she's done. I'm impressed that she was brave enough to post that up and really have no interest in second guessing what she says in it.

BTW - I'm no vet, which I offered up in my last post. But I have done a few things that a lot of new folks like to talk about and ask questions of and do share. For what it's worth, those folks that are jumping to my defense have more miles backing up than I have going forward.

Well, Songster, anyone that knows Red, which many of us do, knows that he was joking with the "Step back" comment.

But I will tell you this, the veterans here will not sugar coat their answers, and when someone comes on the board posting these types of comments, they are going to shy away from answering your questions, because you are giving the impression that you feel your knowledge is superior.

I'm closing this thread, because its served its purpose and I'm not about to let the current degenerated conversation continue.
