Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years, but it has stagnated somewhat for me. Life as an OTR trucker will add a great deal of new opportunities for the hobby. I also love good food. My intention is to normally eat healthy while on the road by going to the store and whenever I can and buying quality fruits and vegetables. However, whenever possible, I occasionally want to experience for instance Memphis' or KC's best barbecue joints, San Antonio's best Mexican food, or Anapolis' or Portland's best seafood, etc.

I sit in my chair for a long time, loving the music I enjoy so. There was this one time I ate bran oatmeal and was praying I could reach a bathroom before... I won't make it any clearer.

You want the best Mexican food, you don't want to be in San Antonio. Head down to south Texas. Some of the best will turn up in the little hole in the wall truck stops where the lunch counter is run by Mexicans. Heck even the "roach coach" (which wasn't) that hubby got some Mexican food at was rockin'. That was in Dallas while loading.

Good luck getting to the type of restaurants you are talking about.

At one time in the yester years you could do so much as a trucker..These days i feel sorry for many of you newbies. They have restricted your movement and over regulated you to sitting in a parking lot starring out a window...

Most of the people i see ''trapped'' and imprisoned in there chairs are the people working for dumbed down mega carriers that want you to gaurd the load for free and stay put in a piss infested parking lot...These ARE NOT OLD TIMERS..

We tend to live the outlaw ways and tell them all to get ######..We drop our trailers and bobtail into to town to the nearest watering hole or tittie bar.We may go catch a movie or do some sight seeing. There is alot i do when i drop my trailer.I used to camp out on Daytona Beach with the bobtail, beer, music and doobie and my lawn chair. But that is all done know due to all the trucker haters.

We love our FREEDOM and kick and scream about the way you newbies accept being #### on and pissed on..In many ways the newbies are 20 years to late for trucking...You new guys are held as a prisoneer unless you ''rent a car''..I am sure the mega's would have a problem with that too...SO SAD to be a new driver in a once free business..

LOL.Good luck finding a beginner company that allows a driver freedom..I am sure this guy was held hostage by his mega carrier in a piss infested #### hole parking lot....This is the new world order..They want to MICRO MANAGE these drivers every second....So sad...
