A half-mile longwire susupended by a kite, with an antenna matcnbox that will handle very very high voltages, and an array of dragging ground straps on the ground, liberally soaked with salt water.

    (well, you asked....)

Wilson 1000 or wilson 5000 if your running a box, if not a wilson 500 . They come already tuned with vary low swr's. I've got a 1000 I run my cobra 29LTD, Texas Star 250HDV and I can talk up to 100 miles if the airways arent crowded.

Get a Predator 10K, and when skips rolling, you should be able to talk 1000's of miles with that TS-250...

That's probably because Wilson's won't handle the amount of power the key down competition is running.

Well for a person that just wants to get out good and is not wanting to spend alot of money, a Wilson is a good antenna. Ive used them for some time now and never had any problems. You can spend the money you earn and get a monkey made, 1000 watt linear and key up on everyone but you have to ask yourself if its really worth it but im sure most just want something reliable that wont be expensive and can handle a little power. Just sayin

How about if you are in a Freightliner Cascadia and want to use the dual antena mounts on the side of sleeper, what works best for that?
