I'm thinking Schneider looks like the best company to apply for after I get my CDL,it seems like no one has much of anything bad to say about the company.
What types of testing do they have during orientation, aside from drug testing? I'm curious about how much they need you to be able to lift, and what other tests are there?
Thank you

Drug test, both urine and hair, a PWS(check website for video) road test and a few little tests during orientation on videos you watch.

There are many threads under the 'Schneider' section on this forum that detail in length what to expect.
Good luck! -
It's nothing major. If you can drive and you can bend and list a few pounds, you will make it.
Nightwind8830 Thanks this. -
the video isnt specific. someone told me you need to be able to lift 60lbs over your head,is that true? the training video doesnt describe much. im a smaller built woman, just making sure i can meet whatever requirements BEFORE i apply and get to orientation
thank you, -

Middle of the page. video specific to the pre work screen. Shows everything. -
You only have to be able to lift 60lbs over your head if you are signing up for bulk (tanker).
Van division has no requirement of lifting anything over your head like that. You do have to lift a duffel bag that weighs approximately 30 lbs over your head to simulate being able to lift your gear up into the cab of the truck. So you only have to lift 30 lbs over your head, not 60.
You do have to be able to lift a milk carton full of weight to waist high though and carry it like 30 feet, turn about and then back. You had to do 30 lbs a couple of times (to, back, to, back) then 60 lbs twice. You shouldn't have anything to worry about as long as you can hold something 60lbs at waist height while walking.Last edited: Aug 7, 2013
