Just ONE of my big rookie mistakes.

but I had been driving for about 16 years when I did this!!!
DoneYourWay, davetiow and CaptainTightpants Thank this. -
I figure I had to add to this thread after a few good laughs
Lets see. Backing to a dock and thinking you go more distance to go so you hit the bumpers so hard you knock boxes off the top of the skid (Fork lift guy thought it was funny as hell)
Missing your turn so you just turn at the next street you can and not realizing it was a residential area (Late at night, no street lights, tired) luck I got out of that one.
Not asking what dock to be in first (20 docks and I'm the only one there) some of those S & R people are real ##### holes.
Driving into a shipping area that "looked ok" and having to back all the way out on the street just to back it in again (when in doubt stop and walk it)
Trying to spin the T & T around in a parking lot I thought I had enough room. I made the turn but ripped the trailer pig tail in half.
AND the disgusting one. trying to throw a cup of piss out the window and not reaching out far enough first at 65 mph. Yeah gave my arm a nice bathdavetiow, CaptainTightpants, DoneYourWay and 1 other person Thank this. -
I never got a piss bath but did get a few spit baths

Stalling out on the scale

Leaving the truck stop because their were no pull throughs
Pulling into a dead end street, having to back out into Chicago rush hour traffic...
High-pinning
Not knowing how to slide the fifth wheel
Missing a gear and being stuck in neutral going down a hill (that was a butt clincher)
Missing the on ramp, so followed the car GPS who's advice turned out to be - 'Do a U-Turn' - Ended up in some residential area
And my favorite, getting locked out of the truck on a on ramp in the middle of no where, in 20 degree weather, with just shorts and a t-shirt on.davetiow Thanks this. -
Those are pretty good. I managed to lock myself out of my truck in IL, but I was at a truck stop and fully clothed thankfully. I woke up a fellow driver, who kindly gave me some advice about breaking in. I bought a $7 flat prybar and got in through my wing window. That was the best $7 I ever spent.DoneYourWay Thanks this.

How about me locking myself out my truck, parked on a scale since the last driver parked in front of me. Then after that, as soon as I left the lot and got to the light on a one lane rd my clutch went out on me blocking traffic again.daddyhusky Thanks this.

Bad day! I hate blocking traffic. The cops show up, you have to explain....kind of like high school parties, without any fun.
-
Only one person had to explain. The person who's house it was. All others scattered...
