I couldn't quite decide which of the following quotes was most appropriate, truckon, so I'll let you choose:

"Envy is the sincerest form of flattery"

"Some people suffer from the green-eyed monster called envy"

"Insecure people put others down to raise themselves up"

"Envy and resentment are terribly corrosive passions. To suffer at the sight or even the thought of others' enjoyment of life makes one a committed enemy of human happiness. Such people end up being practically a curse upon the human race."

Does it ever dawn on any of you that maybe that's big money for some of us.

I'm looking at making close to 40k this year and I didn't really get going until may/june.

Last year I made 19k unloading trucks for Walmart. So yeah for some of us these "low wage" entry level trucking jobs really are big bucks.

And before anyone uses the excuse that you'd make more money working 70+ hours in a retail job, please show me exactly where those jobs are in 2013. Your lucky to get 30 hours at those types of jobs, including good ol McDonald's.

Brother, $600.00 a week to work up to 100 hours a week is the norm in this industry if you go to work for a mega carrier (Swift, Conway, Knight, England, etc.).
Regardless of what anyone will no doubt write to the contrary, these are realistic figures. And even with experience, things don't improve much.
Your best bet would be to physically go to any truck stop (TA, Petro, Loves, Pilot) and personally speak with as many drivers as possible.
Please keep in mind that there is a whopping 98% driver turnover rate in this industry! These drivers are leaving by their own choice because they realize that they deserve so much better. Many, if not most, are leaving the industry altogether.
    Good luck!
