new favorite truckstop

For all of us who walk into a truck stop and expect to get headed in and out like cattle and lower our standards to sub-par food. I have found a gem of a truck stop among the rubble of get their money and get um out. This truck stop is in Palestine, TX. Called Gateway truck stop. I walked into a very clean and spacious building. I got a couple of apples and the gal behind the counter individually wrapped my apples so they wouldn't bruise. WOW!
Then I wondered over to there grill and the gal with confidence told me she made the best burgers around. I ordered and man was it good! I am a picky eater too. After I ate my huge burger with the works, I looked around at all the pricing. Everything is lower priced than the big boys. They have done it right!! Great people, great food and great pricing. I urge anyone going through Palestine TX to stop into Gateway. It is american ran by a local man who understands what we go through. You definitely will be surprised and pleased.

 

Forgot to say that their bottled drinks are actually cold, not barely cold! Nothing like cracking a nice cold drink open on a hot day.
