You can make that at other LTL carriers..Vitran and Central are at the bottom of the pile in the LTL world(still beats OTRon its best day) and besides vitran is on a pay freeze..One of the lowest paying LTL carriers. I am in my third year at con-way, expecting my 4th raise coming in October and I take home anywhere from 950-1300/1400 a week... I am in college full time as well so I hate the long hours during the semester. These last few ks I have been working some long days and I have been taking home about $1200+ or so.

If the Op doesn't mind hard/physical work the food service industry pays really well....Don't know if you he has any limitations/health issues, but if not you can make really good wages, and after the waiting period ins. is usually decent too. You might try and check out a company named GSF( Golden State Foods)...they have several (21) I think distribution centers nation wide....and they are GREAT company..I retired from there a while back.

You could always do tanker work, I've done gasses for the past 8 yrs, oxygen, nitrogen, co2, 4 on and 4 off. Love the job. Pays well.
