If the shipper wont pay for detention, permits, and the fact that you have been forced to buy a new truck, dont go to California. Something tells me they will pay if you demand it, they have no choice. They have done this to themselves and they will suffer the consequences of voting for liberal hippies. I for one am more than happy to be the guy making a fortune by taking advantage of them.

the shipper was the port. i have no idea on the actual company. don't think you can really claim detention when it's not the shippers fault.

the permits were all lined up the day BEFORE pickup. except for the city permit to drive that 1 mile stretch of city road. it basically took them 4 days to issue it.

personally, i think it's a bunch of BS how truckers are treated in cali. they don't want you in there state. and they won't permit you to leave.

considering that trucking and the ports is probably there biggest revenue. with all the citations and what not.

Ive done some checking and If I tagged them with a Oklahoma plate it would not be necessary, But In this case the trucks have emission stickers, The reason they are selling them is because the motors haven't been retrofitted to comply with the new guidelines. I don't want to even get started on politikin lol, All the people we know there are Die hard Republicans and they hate whats happening, Problem is that about 1/4 of the state of cali has 70% of the population = votes. LA And san Francisco are so densely populated they can out vote the rest of the state , Those 2 cities and the surrounding areas have everyone suffering.

I would not want to be hauling freight with one everyday that's for sure! But I would use one to haul hay out of my fields or cows to the market.

Pick the best tractor and use that with a trip permit and piggy back the rest.

Hey thanks Sam! And your Right I am Playing! And having fun doing it lol. No seriously to answer your question Nobody would want to be hauling freight in them. But they are good trucks and Im going to make some local farmers around where I live a good deal on them. I may keep one just to move my equipment around, and cows and hay. The rest I will sale for a small profit. Mostly to help out others who are struggling and trying to make ends meet. Myself I want something nice.

First truck is home, Its parked out in my Drive way with a 25 foot flatbed on it and a $90,000 dollar air compressor that came with the truck that I paid 2 grand for. LOL, Don't sound like junk to me. It also has $2000.00 dollars worth of Weather Guard lock boxes underneath the sides of it. Thanks for all the input folks. The truck ran like a tropper all the way home. It rolled over to 50,000 miles coming out of Amarillo, Sweet little truck. I couldn't be happier with it. Im calling it my Dually since its single axel truck. I ended up riding the Amtrak out of Oklahoma in to south Texas and spent a night in San Antonio at the River Walk, Then got to see Ciudad Juarez the next day, Then off to the desert and by the Salton Sea in Cali/ Then to Los Angeles where my rental car was waiting. Train ticket was $450.00 dollars and included the rental car to Bakersfield, and 3 hot meals a day. The Black Angus Steaks were awesome on the train. The truck got excellent mileage all the way home. I stopped in Williams Arizona and spent 2 days at my (campground I just recently purchased near the Grand Canyon also, First Time to see it and it was freaking awesome/ Best $1700 I ever spent) Anyway all and all the first trip was pure gold. And I sincerely appreciate all the help you guys were.
