Since the driver died, we may never know what happened.

I may catch some heat for this, but when will people learn to quit pulling onto the shoulder of the Highways.
Wonder how far the next exit was.

    paul_4lp and skellr Thank this.

A lot of 4-wheelers seem to think the shoulder is a rest area. This also applies to other 18-wheelers too unfortunately.

I just don't care to drive in those wee hours of the morning. I don't want to risk driving drowsy and I don't want to risk being crashed into by a half-asleep driver. While some truckers have adapted to driving and being alert at those hours, too many have not, nor ever will.

They sure do,and when it's time for them to get back on the road they should at least build up speed then merge into traffic.Dont just put on your turn signal and expect me to slow down or move over, I will if I can,but if I cant move over and you get my air horn dont make it your lifes work to catch up to me and give me the finger and all kinds of other grief ..10/4....

How about I always move over when I can. But you were assuming I don't Move Over, and we all know about assume.

Most people just don't realize how dangerous it is to pull of on the shoulder.

Besides for every person that switches lanes there are probaply 10 that don't move over.

Just yesterday was driving through TN on I-75 and there was an SUV with a family of 5 or 6 people on the shoulder, their ### end almost right on the right lane line. They were all out of the car going with the passenger side doors open and were looking for something apparently. Ironic thing was they were 25 feet from the exit ramp leading to a rest area. Why didnt they just pull into the rest area? People are just retarded, that's why. They'd rather sit on the side of the highway dangerously than drive 500 more feet into a rest area parking spot.
