Southeastern pays 55.4 cpm. Hourly pay is $22.55 (breakdowns, load delay, dock work etc.). You must give 1 free hour (collectively) for any delay or sequence of delays (load not ready, breakdown etc.) experienced within a terminal. Also 1 hour at midpoint if the driver you're meeting is late (load not ready), but that doesn't apply to breakdowns at mid points. Example: driver at mid point arrives 30 minutes late, then you're ready to leave and you have a flat, it's immediate pay from there. However, all breakdowns/blowouts or running out of drive time anywhere outside a terminal grants immediate pay.
Dock work is not required unless you have a "combo" run (few hours of dock work followed by short run, or vice versa) but combos "technically" are not considered linehaul within the company.
The hourly rate of $22.55 does fluctuate slightly throughout the different market areas, but I've never seen more than a dollar/hour difference between the lowest to highest, usually less than 50 cents.
I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have. -
That sounds very good, they were on the top of my list along with Old Dominion. Sadly, they showed no interest, they just gave me a generic response "if we need ya we will call ya".
How much do teams make? -
I think I'll apply there when or if I ever move to Nashville

I was talking to a driver from Jackson TN. AAA Cooper is replacing quiting or fired people with 2 part timers?
-
Hey uno Rug, I just saw a job opportunity at AAA Cooper for a part time linehaul driver in Dallas, I didnt know you can do linehaul part time.
-
I had 20 minutes to talk to the guy. He liked the company. Said he liked Jackson. Memphis or Nashville maybe not. Yes, he said part time. Maybe it is for P&D.
-
I think that's just another word for on call.

Sounds like my "part time" gig at YRC, he only calls me when he needs me, otherwise im usually off 2 out of the 5 work days, but then has the nerve to gwt mad when I tell him I cant work last fri which im usually off on fridays ne ways. Thats why im moving to Dallas in 19 days because these small terminals dont hire new guys UNLESS the full time guys quit (which rarely happens) or retires.
