Just a quick question -- Are there any cams out there which allow you to record two views? Like say I have the main angle pointed out the windshield and an auxiliary lens at one side of the tractor pointed into the mirror or facing aft?

They don't have to be pricey. I have two, bought on amazon, paid $20 each, work great.

True, might get a bargain basement priced one at first... for the first month... and then let it work itself out from there.

 

Just some clarification. I tested both of those cameras. It is not apple-to-apples comparison. The video quality on the 1080p camera is dramatically clearer than the $20 one. I'm not saying that a $20 one doesn't have merit - only that there is a tangible reason for the price differences on all of them. It just depends on what features, type of SD card, clarity, warranty, and low-light features that you are looking for.
