Overwidth and the sheet metal is hanging 7' off the back obstructing the tail lights
The metal is pushed up against the trailer's headache rack. I'm thinking this load should should been of a different trailer without the rack and and front of the trailer by 3'. Truck is a CRST.
Opinions?

Would of been nice if you could of gotten a pic. of all of it.
Sounds like it should of went on a stretch trl. by the way you describe it.. -
i've never done flatbed work, so bear with me. my question is with that much overhang off the back, wouldn't it bounce like crazy going down the road? maybe so much that you'd have to check the securement more often?
SHC Thanks this. -
Yes, stretch trailer would be more appropriate.
It's ok, he has 3' of 4x4s hanging off the back that will eventually break off landing on the interstate.Big_Perv93, vavega and SHC Thank this. -

That load should never have been loaded like that, at all. Only on a stretch or a 53' flat with maybe 2' off the front.
-
Yeah, I'd at least call CRST. That's just plain crazySleepy68 Thanks this.

I cringe, but up to 12' overhang is permit legal. I would not do it.
-
Yes, you can have up to 12' in some states, but the pics show it looks real flimsby steel.
Plus blocking the tail lights and I just about bet the steel will be bent or kinked by the time he or she gets it to del. Can we say damage claim? -
I called CRST. They said they would call the driver. Judging distance by the reefer he's parked next to, I'm guessing he has a 48' trailer. That metal would probably be ok on a 53'r.
I'm thinking I should call Iowa DOT.
